Rev. Dr. Byer-Thomas has served as a senior pastor in the United Methodist Florida conference since 2011. In her work, she preaches prophetically and is unafraid to address social ills through contextual Biblical lenses. Her personal mission is to know God and make God known, living fully, the life she has. She is driven by her deep love for her family and God’s justice.

Interests

Rev. Dr. Andrea Byer-Thomas was born and raised on the Caribbean twin-island of Antigua (Antigua and Barbuda), home of 366 beautiful, white, and pink sand beaches. She is married to her high school sweetheart and is the mother of “The Fantastic Four”. Some of her favorite activities include reading, gardening, dancing to her favorite calypsos, soap-making, people-watching, and all sorts of crafting. She loves tea and is a pescatarian.
