The Candler Foundry in partnership with Candler's Program in Religious Education will be hosting a book discussion on "Parenting for a Better World: Social Justice Practices for your Family and the Planet."

The conversation will be facilitated by our very own Dr. Beth Corrie and she converses with panelists: Dr. Ellen Ott Marshall, Dr. Susanna Synder, Anton Flores-Maisonet, and Chine McDonald.

Dr. Ellen Ott Marshall - is the Professor of Christian Ethics and Conflict Transformation, Director of the Graduate Division of Religion. Marshall’s work focuses on contemporary Christian ethics, with particular attention to violence, peacebuilding, and conflict transformation.  Read More

Dr. Susanna Snyder - is the Academic Dean and Lecturer in Theology and Ethics at Ripon College, Cuddeson. She lives in Oxford, UK, and has two children. Read More

Anton Flores-Maisonet - is the Founding Director of Casa Alterna. He lives in Decatur, Georgia, USA, and has experienced parenting through natural birth, adoption, and fostering. Read More

Chine McDonald -is a writer, speaker, and broadcaster. She is the director of Theos, the religion and society think tank, and previously headed up public engagement at Christian Aid. She is the former communications director for the Evangelical Alliance. Read More
