4 sessions in-person hosted in partnership with The Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Atlanta, Georgia. Sundays from 11:30 AM ET - 12:30 PM ET starting April 7 until April 28, 2024.
This course will investigate and compare the resurrection stories from all four gospels. We will explore how the gospel writers use the resurrection appearances of Jesus in creating portraits of Jesus for a variety of audiences in the early Christian community.
To conclude the course, we will reflect on how these four unique portraits of the Risen Jesus work together and speak to the Christian community of today.

Elizabeth "Ebby" Arnold is the post-doctoral fellow for The Candler Foundry. She holds a PhD in New Testament from Emory University and her dissertation focused on the wilderness in Luke-Acts. In The Candler Foundry, she teaches Courses in the Community as well as Candler School of Theology. Ebby is currently creating Candler Foundry's Foundations in Faith and Leadership, an on-line certificate program for community- and church-based theological education (see more).
